A birdseye view of Atlixco, Puebla. This is not the world’s most spectacular image, but it jumped out at me, because I have pictures of the same buildings from our recent trip to Atlixco. Check it out:

One evening in the early 70’s, Steve, Carl and I drove from a nearby village to spend an evening in Puebla. And into the midst of a festival featuring egg shells stuffed with confetti. After having a few of them smashed on my head, I purchased my own plastic bag full of confetti missiles.
Don’t like the way a man looked at me? Throw an egg at him.
Kid running by? Throw an egg at him or her.
I remember lobbing my final egg at the chest of a policeman directing traffic, which got me a baleful eye.
Even after fifty years this is pure eye candy!

A very satisfying evening. ;-)
