Informative Travel Blogs–Baja to El Salvador

A map of Mexico with the Mexican flag.

Viva Mexico!

My friend Cornelius pointed me in the direction of his friends Matt and Emily, who are currently traveling through Central America. Their blogs have neat pictures and detailed information that could be of use to anyone interested in riding a motorcycle in Mexico, couchsurfing, crossing Latin American borders, finding cheap, reasonably safe accommodations in San Salvador and bussing across Central America. Sigh…

I’m flying into Mexico City August 1st and going to San Miguel de Allende. I’ve found two different ways of getting there and wondered if there might be a better one or which of the two is the best. There’s a bus from the airport to Quertano and a cab from there to SMA. Or, I could take a cab to take a bus to Central Norte Bus Station direct to SMA. I was also wondering if it takes a long time to get through customs and if I can take opened bottles of vitamins and suppliments and oils, etc. Thanks
